AN EVENT FOR ALL BICYCLING INTERESTS AND ABILITIES

        

About the Event  -    A benefit for  

RIDES:  11, 20, 40 and 60 miles

RACE:  60 miles

A benefit for the Jefferson County Literacy Council, Inc. a private non-profit organization providing literacy services to adults and families.

Four rides and a professionally-timed race start and end at Jones Park in Fort Atkinson, Wisconsin, and traverse the beautiful  country roads surrounding the Rock River of Jefferson County, one of the most bicycle-friendly counties in the state.

Ride Options (non-race)

11 miles:  a gorgeous ride along the Glacial River Bike Trail leaving from Jones Park in Fort Atkinson and going south through  meadows and passing the Rock River.  For any skill rider and includes a rest stop with Yogi Bear.

20 miles:  Glacial River Bike Trail for the first 5.5 miles and then extending onto roads in a beautiful residential area along the Rock River for a loop back to the trail and into the city.

40 milesLeaving Fort Atkinson going north along the Rock River through Jefferson following following several areas of gentle rolling hills with farms and meadows to a route around Lake Ripley in the Cambridge area and then following the Rock River east back into the city.

60 miles: Following the 40  mile ride and heading further north along the Rock River and across beautiful country roads to Lake Mills and around Rock Lake south to Lake Ripley and further west through the village of Busseyville and looping back along the Rock River east into the city.

 

Race Options

60 miles consisting of three miles on city streets to the outskirts and three 17 mile circuits going west and north of the city of Fort Atkinson.  With plenty of safety and marshals directing racers, this event has the right amount of challenge with varying hills.  Champion chip timing.

Rock the Rock Weekend Challenge - complete the FORT HALF MARATHON on Saturday AND the 60  mile bike race OR 60 mile ride on Sunday and receive a commemorative t-shirt and special medal.

6:30 a.m. Registration opens

8:00 a.m. 40 and 60 mile rides (non-race)

8:30 a.m. 54 mile Race

9:00 a.m. 11 and 20 mile rides
